The event, co-organised by the Jazz Bond Association band, the Orange Dihoxyn and Orange Fleurs d’espoir Associations, drew the participation of Vietnamese and French amateur composers and singers.
President of the Orange Fleurs d’espoir Association Vu Thi Xuan Phuong said this was one of many charitable activities held annually in France to help children with disabilities in Vietnam’s Ninh Binh and Quang Tri provinces, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Vietnam’s AO/dioxin victims in the hope of easing their physical and spiritual pains, she added.
A project to build a treatment facility in Ninh Binh province for mentally-impaired children was introduced during the concert.
A week of international unity with Vietnamese children suffering from the effects of Agent Orange/dioxin will be held in France from November 13-21.(VNA)
