The activity was held by the Danish Embassy in Viet Nam in coordination with the Da Nang City People’s Committee from June 20 to 22 at APEC Park.

Accordingly, Carlsberg Viet Nam’s leadership and employees, together with General Director Andrew Khan, took part in the “Da Nang-Copenhagen: Green Journey along the Han River” cycling programme, continuing to affirm the company’s commitment to sustainable development and spreading the belief that positive changes always begin with practical actions each day.

As part of the programme, the exhibition “Liveable City – Cycling City” offered a new perspective on the role of urban planning and green transport solutions for future generations.

Andrew Khan, General Director of Carlsberg Viet Nam, said Da Nang is one of the most dynamic and liveable cities in Viet Nam.

“We are very pleased to accompany the city’s meaningful initiatives to encourage a green lifestyle and create positive impacts for the community. Seeing so many colleagues take part in today’s programme is a reminder that sustainable development is not only about commitments for the future, but also about what we do together from today,” Andrew Khan said.

The cycling journey along the Han River is part of a series of community and sustainable development activities that Carlsberg Viet Nam is implementing through Brewing Tomorrow, Carlsberg Group’s sustainability programme, with four focus areas: reducing carbon emissions, protecting nature, inspiring positive choices, and empowering people.

Previously, more than 150 leaders, employees, relatives and partners joined a programme in response to World Environment Day in Da Nang, collecting more than 1.3 tonnes of waste through a coastal clean-up activity. From cycling on the green journey along the Han River to practical actions for the environment, every effort contributes to creating positive and lasting impacts for the local community.
