Deputy PM Tran Luu Quang pays working trip to Son La Province

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang paid a working visit to the northern mountainous province of Son La on May 19.

At the meeting with provincial leaders, the Deputy PM was briefed on Son La’s recent socio-economic development, as well as the obstacles facing its business, investment and infrastructure development.

Son La proposed that the government support the province in implementing several key projects, as well as asking the Lao government to complete the procedures for upgrading the Pa Hang Border Checkpoint.

Speaking at the working session, Quang praised the achievements recorded by Son La, especially in high-tech agriculture with many products for export.

Concerning the province’s proposals, the Deputy PM asked the Government Office to take note of them for consideration so that specific measures can be introduced.

On the same day, Deputy PM Quang offered flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh at Tay Bac Square and attended the inauguration of a vegetable and fruit processing facility.
