As explained by the DOC, the plaintiff, Mid Continent Steel & Wire, Inc, withdrew its request, which it had made previously, for administrative reviews toward eight of the 11 Vietnamese companies.
Furthermore, no other relevant parties have submitted any review requests toward these eight companies, so the DOC will consider removing the administrative reviews from these companies, as requested by the plaintiff.
In addition, one of the remaining three companies has been confirmed as not having exported investigated products to the US, in the period under review, so the DOC will also consider eliminating the administrative reviews concerning this company.
With regards to the remaining two companies, the subsidy margin is preliminarily identified at 313.97%, in the review period from November 3, 2014 to December 31, 2015.
As scheduled, the DOC will promulgate its final conclusion regarding the administrative review 120 days from its announcement of the preliminary conclusion. The final conclusion will function as a foundation for the DOC and the US’s customs and border protection agencies to assess anti-subsidy duties and deposits to be imposed on batches of steel nails imported from Vietnam.
Earlier on June 6, 2017, the DOC issued its preliminary conclusion and announced its plan to partially terminate its anti-subsidy measure administrative review over steel nails imported from Vietnam, including the product codes: 7317.00.55.02, 7317.00.55.03, 7317.00.55.05, 7317.00.55.07, 7317.00.55.08, 7317.00.55.11, 7317.00.55.18, 7317.00.55.19, 7317.00.55.20, 7317.00.55.30, 7317.00.55.40, 7317.00.55.50, 7317.00.55.60, 7317.00.55.70, 7317.00.55.80, 7317.00.55.90, 7317.00.65.30, 7317.00.65.60, 7317.00.75.00, 7907.00.60.00 and 8206.00.00.00.
