The exhibition introduces to the public 110 poems by teacher, poet and journalist Nguyen Thi My Dung, along with photos by journalist Tran Hong.

The exhibits focus on the glorious Dien Bien Phu victory, as well as the simple life of General Vo Nguyen Giap and the people’s love and respect for the legendary General.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, poet-journalist Nguyen Thi My Dung recalled that she first met General Giap in the spring of 1998 and on several occasions after that. The stories and talks shared by General Giap inspired her to write many articles and poems about the talented general.

She expressed her hope that the exhibition will fuel the pride and love for national history, the appreciation for the service of predecessors, particularly for General Vo Nguyen Giap, and increase patriotism among visitors.

She also took this occasion to introduce her latest poetry photographic book entitled ‘In the footsteps of the General’.
