Fantastic Hanoi drone light show celebrates Lunar New Year 2024

An artistic light show using 2,024 drones entitled “Hanoi Art Light Festival – Resplendent Thang Long” was held at the Van Cao T-junction by West Lake on New Year’s Eve to welcome Tet 2024.

Hanoi residents and visitors admire the artistic light show using drones.

All preparations for the show were completed by relevant units to ensure the success of the event.

With the combination of movement and colour, the drone light show forms 2D and 3D images featuring various topics.

A large crowd gathers at Van Cao T-junction in Tay Ho District to admire the special performance held for the first time on New Year’s Eve.

2,024 drones took off at exactly 11:30 pm, illuminating the sky about West Lake.

The special show opened with an image of Emperor Ly Thai To and the phrase “Chieu doi do” — the historical decree to move the capital of Vietnam from Ninh Binh to Hanoi.

Artistic light works tell the story of the thousand-year history of Vietnam.

The light show set a Southeast Asian record in terms of the number of unmanned vehicles involved.
