The festival was an initiative launched by Lao Cai Province which eight Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City agreed to become an annual event. It has been held alternately in the localities as a typical product of the region.
Lao Cai Province is famous for Fansipan peak, which is known as the “Roof of Indochina”, along with many historical relic sites, landscapes, festivals and cultural heritages.
Notably, the Sapa national tourist area is expected to become an international tourist site with various unique products.
