Of whom, over 15.59 million people are covered by compulsory social insurance, up 1.56%, while over 1.45 million people enrolled in voluntary social insurance, representing an annual increase of 3.71%.

In the meantime, about 14.25 million people are participating in unemployment insurance, an annual rise of 1.74%. As many as 90.24 million people are covered by health insurance, a slight expansion of 0.02% over the corresponding period in 2023.

As of the end of April 2024, the total accumulated revenue from social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance stands at over 155.4 trillion VND, a 10.04% increase over the same period in 2023.

However, as many challenges remain, efforts to optimise services on the management and handling of insurance are required.
