Forum encourages contributions of youths in Asia-Pacific to Francophone community’s development

The Asia-Pacific forum for young Francophones wrapped up in Hanoi on September 13.

During the three-day event, about 80 outstanding youth delegates from countries around the world, including host Vietnam, discussed, shared experiences and proposed practical initiatives to build a sustainable Francophone youth community.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Students' Association, affirmed that the forum successfully connected delegates from many different countries who represent the advanced youth generation in the Francophone Community.

Through the forum, participants not only learned from each other, but also contributed their youthful vitality towards building friendship between countries in the Francophone community, he stated.

The three-day event was jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMYU)’s Central Committee, the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam, and the Asia-Pacific Regional Office of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF).
