The Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Finance to supply 1,220 tonnes of rice for the poor, and for people in difficulty in Nghe An during the period between harvests.
Lao Cai province will receive 136 tonnes of rice to feed citizens suffering from the effects of natural disasters.
The Government asked the two provinces to support people who are really in need.
Earlier, the Prime Minister also requested that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development supply the provinces of Quang Tri and Thai Binh with 50 tonnes of chlorine antiseptic from the national reserves to help farmers combat the blight on their shrimp.
