In his opening remarks, Bui Anh Tuan, Director General of APED, emphasised that the 2025 Partnership Conference on Promoting Green and Digital Transformation for Vietnamese Enterprises serves as a strategic forum where the Government, development organisations, investment funds, corporations, and startups join hands to build a “dual transformation” ecosystem for Vietnamese businesses.

Recognising the importance of promoting dual transformation in enterprises, APED has recently implemented various initiatives to support businesses in this process—most notably, the establishment and implementation of the project “Dual Transformation Centre – Digital Transformation and Innovation for Environmental and Climate Protection in Viet Nam,” supported by the Federal Republic of Germany.

“The agency is committed to working closely with partners such as GIZ through initiatives like the Dual Transformation Centre project, turning innovative ideas into practical actions to help the private sector overcome barriers and seize opportunities for strong growth in today’s digital era,” said Director General Bui Anh Tuan.

Also speaking at the opening, Jens Schmid-Kreye, Deputy Head of Development Cooperation at the German Embassy, affirmed that the 2025 Partnership Conference on Promoting Green and Digital Transformation for Vietnamese Enterprises is one of the key activities within the framework of Viet Nam–Germany cooperation. It reflects the spirit of the long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries and provides an overview of Vietnamese enterprises’ journey towards digitalisation and green transition in 2024 and early 2025, based on practical survey data from small and medium-sized enterprises.

Within the framework of the conference, a Q&A and in-depth discussion session was held between regulators, large corporations, and start-ups—linking diverse perspectives to form shared solutions.

Delegates expressed confidence that, with technical support from the Federal Republic of Germany, implementation by GIZ, the active participation of technology enterprises, reputable banks and financial funds, and the close coordination of APED under the Ministry of Finance, the private sector will soon keep pace with global trends in digitalisation, sustainable development, and international integration, contributing effectively to the goals set out in the Politburo’s Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW, and further advancing Viet Nam’s green and digital transformation agenda.
