Ha Noi consolidates leadership positions of Municipal People’s Council and People’s Committee

Delegates of the Ha Noi People’s Council considered and decided on personnel matters at the session on March 28 morning. Phung Thi Hong Ha was elected as the Chairwoman of the 17th Ha Noi People’s Council for the 2026–2031 tenure, while Vu Dai Thang was elected as the Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee.

At the first session of the 17th Municipal People’s Council for the 2026–2031 period, delegates elected Phung Thi Hong Ha as the Chairwoman of the 17th Municipal People’s Council; Tran The Cuong, Pham Qui Tien, and Pham Thi Thanh Mai were elected as Vice Chairpersons of the 17th Ha Noi People’s Council for the 2026 – 2031 period.

During the session, the Municipal People’s Council elected Vu Dai Thang the Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee; Duong Duc Tuan, Nguyen Xuan Luu, Vu Thu Ha, and Truong Viet Dung were elected Vice Chairpersons of the 17th Municipal People’s Committee for the 2026–2031 term, along with 17 members of the Municipal People’s Committee.

Speaking at the event, Vu Dai Thang, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee, pledged to uphold administrative discipline and order, emphasise the responsibility of leaders, and ensure decisive and effective management, with tangible results as the key measure. He also committed to building a service-oriented government that is close to and responsive to the people, promotes unity and collective intelligence, and maintains close coordination with central agencies and localities.

Every guideline and policy that does not deliver practical benefits to the people cannot be considered complete the task; trust and satisfaction of the people are the highest measures of governance effectiveness.
