The Heritage Guessr project – an AI platform that uses gamification to promote Vietnamese culture – is a learning game platform powered by AI and VR, enabling users to explore Viet Nam’s cultural heritage in a “learn-by-playing” format.
Players can immerse themselves in virtual environments, interact with the AI system to answer questions about simulated landmarks, and receive assessments, scores, and personalised learning experiences. The platform also incorporates practice modes and educational resources, enhancing engagement in subjects such as culture, history, and geography.
The organising committee also awarded second prizes, third prizes, and consolation prizes; it additionally presented certificates to the 81 contestants who took part in the practical challenge round, recognising their commitment and perseverance.
The four-month competition attracted the participation of 15,000 teams from 1,800 schools across 34 provinces and cities nationwide. Following the preliminary rounds, 81 outstanding contestants were chosen to progress to the practical challenge round.
Built on the principles of “AI First” and “Security First”, AI Young Guru is designed to equip contestants with problem-solving skills through AI from the very beginning.
Speaking at the gala, Dr Le Truong Tung, Chairman of the University Council of FPT University, emphasised that AI Young Guru is not merely a competition, but a process that encourages students to engage with artificial intelligence proactively.
The competition also demonstrates that artificial intelligence is no longer a remote concept, but is steadily becoming an essential skill, enabling Vietnamese students to confidently master technology, address real-world challenges proactively, and gradually assert their presence on the international stage. This provides a crucial foundation for nurturing a generation of bold, creative digital citizens prepared to shape the future in the age of artificial intelligence.
