The contest was organised by the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association of Hanoi in coordination with the Pushkin Institute in Hanoi and the People’s Committee of Long Bien District.

The event aimed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - 2024) and the 107th anniversary of the October Revolution in Russia (November 7, 1917 - 2024), while looking towards the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in 2025 (January 30, 1950 - 2025).

At the contest, the Organising Committee awarded prizes to the contestants with the best works.

In particular, the works that won the Special Prize and First Prize were auctioned to present gifts to 20 disadvantaged students in Long Bien District.
