Hanoi intensifies promoting agricultural products

The Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) opened a trade promotion week for agricultural products from Hanoi and other provinces and cities, at Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street, on September 8.

As part of activities to celebrate the 69th anniversary of its Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2023), the event takes place from September 8-10, to promote the consumption of safe agricultural products and OCOP products of Hanoi city and provinces and cities nationwide and connect manufacturers of provinces and cities with distribution channels in Hanoi city.

In addition, the programme also contributes to promoting the development of agricultural production, tourism services in particular and socio-economics in general; from there, effectively implements the socio-economic development goal of 2023.

With a scale of 120 booths, more than 2,000 agricultural products, regional specialities, green products, OCOP products of more than 100 organisations, businesses, cooperatives, and OCOP entities from 33 provinces and cities throughout the country, including Hanoi, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, Lam Dong, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Quang Ninh, Yen Bai, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Dak Nong, the event is expected to be a good opportunity for participating units to widely promote their brands and products to visitors and consumers of the capital; Thereby contributing to enhancing brand value, diversifying OCOP products associated with local tourism, promoting agricultural economic development, and building new rural areas.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, HPA Deputy Director Bui Duy Quang said that the organisation of the programme aims to introduce branded, quality and typical products of Hanoi, and provinces and cities nationwide, to consumers in the Capital.

Through the event, HPA also wants to raise awareness and trust of consumers about the quality and brand of Vietnamese products, effectively implementing the "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods" campaign, Deputy Director of HPA affirmed.
