The event features over 100 booths from enterprises and cooperatives in Hanoi and from provinces throughout the country such as Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Vinh Phuc, Lai Chau, Hoa Binh, Lao Cai, Bac Giang, Ninh Binh and Hai Duong.
The products on display include local specialties, OCOP products, handicrafts, garments, home appliances and consumer goods.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, HPA Deputy Director Le Tu Luc said Hanoi’s economy has recovered in 2022, growing by 8.8%, high compared to recent years and a value in excess of the set target.
Production, business, trade and tourism activities are recovering, with the total value of retail sales and consumer services up by 10.9%, added Luc.
The 2022 shopping festival is among the various activities held by the HPA to support enterprises and investors to promote their products and expand business cooperation.

The festival is also an occasion for enterprises to reach consumers, look for long-term business partners and enhance the competitiveness of their goods and services.
According to the organisers, the event also helps build Hanoi into a modern and attractive shopping centre, as well as providing consumers with good deals, including high-quality products at reasonable prices.
The festival will last until December 25.
