Hanoi honours outstanding small and medium enterprises in 2022

An event to honour nearly 200 outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the capital city took place at the Hanoi Opera House on November 10.

The enterprises honoured at the programme have shown excellent business performance and made substantial contributions to the capital’s socio-economic development, said Vice Chairman of the Hanoi SME Association Mac Quoc Anh.

The event also praised business regarding ethics, social responsibility and healthy competition.

Speaking at the programme, Hanoi Chairman Tran Sy Thanh affirmed that the business community has made highly significant contributions to the capital city’s overall development.

It has contributed over 40% of the city’s revenue, created jobs for half of the workforce and participated actively in social security programmes, added Thanh.

The Hanoi mayor emphasised that the city always supports and accompanies the business community through the introduction of various policies to improve the business environment and facilitate enterprise development.

He pledged to continue working with entrepreneurs and their companies in the spirit that their success is also the city government’s success.
