On September 11, the Hanoi Promotion Agency announced that the Hanoi Autumn Festival, which was scheduled for this weekend, will be postponed due to the heavy rain and flooding in the northern region, including the capital city.

The Hanoi Autumn Festival 2024, themed 'Hanoi Autumn - Historic Autumn”, was initially planned to take place from September 12 to 15 at the pedestrian space around Hoan Kiem Lake and several other tourist destinations in the city.

The Hanoi Autumn Festival is a key event for promoting tourism and showcasing the city's culture in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 – 2024).

It is also a significant activity for promoting the image and cultural values of Hanoi to domestic regions and international friends, highlighting the strengths of Hanoi's traditional crafts, and raising awareness about preserving and promoting the cultural values and potential of traditional craft villages to contribute to the socio-economic development of the capital.

According to the announcement from the organisers, the Hanoi Autumn Festival has been rescheduled to take place from September 19 to 22.
