Hung Yen’s industrial production up 6.06%

The northern province of Hung Yen’s index of industrial production (IIP) grew by 6.06% in the first ten months of 2023, according to the provincial statistical bureau.

A breakdown shows that manufacturing went up 6.63%, electricity production and distribution was up 0.19%, while water supply and waste treatment fell by 2.74%.

Strong growth in the IIP was seen in such sectors as textile (14.71%), clothes (12.83%), leather products (11.26%), rubber and plastic products (7.99%), metals (8.79%), electric devices (13.4%) and motor vehicles (6.15%).

To date, Hung Yen Province has collected 26 trillion VND (1.057 billion USD) in tax revenue, exceeding the full-year target by 15.74%, of which domestic revenue reached 23 trillion VND, while the rest came from export-import duties.

Tax revenue collected from foreign-invested enterprises reached 2.305 trillion VND, up 20.11%, while the figure for private domestic companies rose by 230.87% to 13.845 trillion VND.

Personal income tax revenue increased by 6.13% to 1.190 trillion VND.
