The event brought together business leaders, experts and the wider business community to discuss ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) trends, share practical experience, and reaffirm the role of enterprises in Viet Nam’s sustainable development process.
In the context of Viet Nam’s strong commitments to green growth goals, the forum was seen as a bridge where businesses could exchange experiences and build best practices, thereby contributing to moving the country closer towards sustainable development targets.
Speaking at the event, Delphine Rousselet, Executive Director of EuroCham Viet Nam, said that over the past 35 years, Europe–Viet Nam relations had grown from a trade-based foundation into a multi-dimensional partnership, built on shared values of openness, resilience and innovation.

As Viet Nam enters a “new era of growth”, she noted, the next pillar shaping this relationship will be sustainable development and corporate responsibility.
Stressing the urgent priority of turning commitments into action, Rousselet emphasised that businesses need to place ESG at the heart of their strategies. Governments must continue administrative reforms and promote green investment, while society should regard sustainable development as a collective journey requiring consensus.
In the panel discussion, speakers focused on three key themes: businesses’ long-term sustainability goals and the reasons behind them; ways to turn ESG objectives into concrete actions while balancing business efficiency with environmental and social benefits; and the responsibility of being a “good corporate citizen” connected to local communities.
The forum “Leadership with Vision – Sharing experiences in sustainable development and corporate responsibility” stands as evidence of the European business community’s companionship in Viet Nam’s green growth journey.
The insights shared by EuroCham, KPMG and Merck Healthcare Viet Nam not only offered practical experience but also provided valuable references for policymakers.
