During the search, Team K75 under the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command recovered an additional set of unidentified martyrs’ remains in Xuan Truong-Da Lat Ward, bringing the total number of martyrs’ remains recovered in the ward to seven.
Team K75 will continue to preserve the remains, complete the relevant documentation and collect biological samples for DNA analysis, while digitising information, records, and the locations where the remains were recovered in accordance with regulations.
The results reflect the close direction of the Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 7 and Lam Dong Province, as well as the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, together with the responsibility of local Party committees, authorities and residents.
As Nhan Dan Newspaper reported, on August 22, the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Party committee and authorities of Xuan Truong-Da Lat Ward to search for and recover martyrs’ remains at Xuan Thanh Cemetery in the ward. During the operation, six unidentified graves were recovered by personnel from the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, who also collected DNA samples to identify the martyrs and their relatives. The six sets of remains were subsequently transported to Da Lat Martyrs’ Cemetery for reburial.
Team K75 is continuing to review information and search areas where additional martyrs’ graves may remain, contributing to the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” and meeting the wishes of martyrs’ relatives and local residents.
