This will be the core force representing the capital’s culinary sector in professional activities, exchanges and international integration.
The Ha Noi Chefs Team is headed by Head of the Coaching Committee Chef Nguyen Cong Chung, Executive Chef of Sheraton Ha Noi Hotel and the first executive chef of an international five-star hotel in Viet Nam, together with the coaching board and chef members selected from outstanding, experienced and talented figures of Ha Noi’s culinary sector.
According to Chef Ha Hai Doan, Chairman of the Ha Noi Professional Chefs Association, the Ha Noi Chefs Team was established with the aim of participating in prestigious culinary competitions worldwide, thereby not only enhancing chefs’ professional expertise but also playing an important role in promoting and exchanging culinary culture, contributing to leaving a strong imprint of Ha Noi and Vietnamese cuisine in the hearts of international diners.
Alongside professional activities, more than 50 brands in the fields of ingredients, equipment, training and culinary services participated in exhibitions and product showcases serving the culinary sector. Many prominent brands such as Maggi, Green Food Company, IVCOM Wine Distribution Company, Sao Mai Cooking Training Centre, together with other reputable enterprises and suppliers, created a vibrant networking space between the chef community and businesses.
One of the emotionally rich highlights of the programme was a fundraising auction for the Ha Noi Chefs Team, featuring a prestigious painting created by artist Viet Hung. The auction attracted enthusiastic participation from many leading and reputable Vietnamese chefs such as MasterChef Pham Tuan Hai, chef Nguyen Dinh Hung, Nguyen Danh Hinh, Truong Cong Le, chef Mr Food, and others. The initial total funds raised reached 118.5 million VND, of which the group led by Pham Tuan Hai alone contributed 50 million VND, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and strong support of the culinary community for the team.
Within the framework of the event, the Ha Noi Professional Chefs Association was honoured to receive certificates of merit from the Viet Nam Tourism Association, the Ha Noi Department of Tourism and the Ha Noi Tourism Association, recognising its positive contributions to the development of Vietnamese cuisine. Panel discussions and professional sharing sessions offered multi-dimensional perspectives on the modern culinary sector, ranging from culinary students demonstrating presentation skills and asking in-depth questions in foreign languages to international speakers, to successful chefs serving as speakers and inspiring the younger generation in their careers.
