In celebration of World Chefs Day on October 20, the Viet Nam Food Bank Network, the Ho Chi Minh City Culinary Association, and the Ho Chi Minh City Professional Chefs Association jointly announced the establishment of the Chef Action Network during the launch of the Ho Chi Minh City Vegetarian Food Festival 2025.

The initiative aims to bring together chefs, culinary artisans, and nutrition experts to contribute to social causes.

Nguyen Tuan Khoi, President of the Viet Nam Food Bank Network and founder of the Chef Action Network, stated: “Chefs not only create delicious dishes but also take part in meaningful acts. They will turn the kitchen into a place of love, where every meal tells a story of sharing and care, helping the vulnerable and raising awareness about responsible food consumption.”

Joining the initiative, Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice President of the Culinary Association and President of the Ho Chi Minh City Chefs Association, added: “Thousands of chefs nationwide are ready to take part in community activities, especially during festivals and humanitarian events. The Chef Action Network will connect passionate hearts, turning cuisine into a language of compassion.”

As part of the festival, members of the network will prepare and serve thousands of free vegetarian meals for children, the elderly, and those in need under the theme “Green Cuisine – Kind Living.”

The 2025 Vegetarian Food Festival is an annual event promoting a green lifestyle and the use of healthy, compassionate food.

This year’s festival will take place at Binh Phu Park in Ho Chi Minh City from October 31 to November 4, featuring more than 200 business booths and attracting an estimated 150,000 visitors.
