Members of Urban Sketchers group display latest paintings at Hanoi exhibition

A total of 67 watercolour, silk, and oil paintings on various themes are being displayed at an exhibition entitled ‘Stories at the beginning of the year’, which opened in Hanoi on March 29.

The works on display are recent creations by five artists Pham Thanh Son, Nguyen Lam, Hoang Quoc Tuan, Luong Binh, and Cuong Nguyen, who are members of the Urban Sketchers group.

The paintings feature various backgrounds from rural to urban areas, on various topics, ranging from natural landscapes to portraits and still life.

The title of the exhibition, “Stories at the beginning of the year”, indicates that the event is a get-together for participating artists when the New Year has arrived, providing them which an opportunity to share their personal thoughts and stories, through the language of the arts.

The event will be open to the public at Exhibition House No. 29 Hang Bai Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi until April 4.
