The event opened on March 16 as a joint effort between the international non-profit organisation VietnamInAcquarello and the Temple of Literature’s Culture and Science Centre.

This is regarded as the largest watercolour exhibition ever held in Vietnam, offering art lovers a glimpse at outstanding watercolour collections from many countries.

VietnamInAcquarello is a branch of the International Watercolour Museum with a wide network spanning over 100 countries and connecting with more than 800,000 units.

The organisation creates an opportunity for domestic artists to exchange with those in the region and around the world, as well as provides a meeting place for artists, collectors, students, and those interested in watercolour.

At the event, VietnamInAcquarello welcomed more than 60 artists from 22 countries, including Poland, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, the UK, Canada, France, Brazil, and Guatemala.

Within the framework of the exhibition, 18 international artists performed live demonstrations of the art of watercolour to show the public the formation of a quickly painted watercolour.

In addition to those on display at the Temple of Literature, a further 200 watercolour paintings are being exhibited at Nhau Studio from now until March 24.
