The entries, including a total of 109 photo collections and 1,803 single photos, were sent by nearly 300 photographers from nine provinces in the region, namely Thai Binh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Bac Ninh, and Quang Ninh.

Focussing on the theme ‘Culture of Red River Delta’, the submissions provide a comprehensive look on the region’s socio-economic development achievements as well as the life of people.

As a result, 14 prizes were presented to the best entries, with Nguyen Viet Rung from Hai Phong City winning the gold prize for his photo entitled ‘Le Hoi Den Long Khe’ (Long Khe Temple Festival).

The organising board also opened an exhibition introducing 148 outstanding entries of the photo festival. The exhibition will run at the provincial museum until September 5.
