With the theme ‘Cycling for the Future’, the event was co-organised by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam-Netherlands Friendship Association, and the Dutch Business Association in Vietnam.

The event aimed to spread the spirit of cycling and encourage sustainable transportation in Ho Chi Minh City, while also inspiring the community in relation to green living and global connection.

Notably, the event welcomed two young Dutch cyclists, Rick Keijzer (21) and Sven Broekhuizen (25), who made a 343-day cycling journey from the Netherlands to Vietnam.

Their 20,000-kilometre journey, started on March 10, 2024 and toured across 24 countries, with the aim to raise funds for Coop Africa, a charity that provides bicycles to communities in Kenya and Uganda.
