A water puppet stage has officially been set up at MAMOM, No. 23 Phan Dinh Phung Street, with performances by artists from the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre.

Though modest in scale, the stage preserves the spirit of the art: water as the stage, puppets as the soul, and storytelling as the bridge between past and present.

The performances recreate village ponds, village festivals and everyday farming activities.

The repertoire here is drawn from well-known traditional plays, both familiar and rich in cultural significance.

All the performances are adapted from water puppetry shows designed for tourists – short yet striking and captivating.

They range from simple, culturally rich stories of farming, fishing, folktales and village festivities, to more elaborate acts such as dragon dances, phoenix dances and the Four Sacred Creatures.
