Nhan Dan Newspaper-run programme to deliver 18,500 Tet gifts to disadvantaged workers

A total of 18,500 Tet gifts will be delivered to disadvantaged workers across the country under the ‘Xay Tet 2025’ programme, which was launched on December 12 by Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and Coteccons Group.

The programme, which is the second of its kind, aims to bring a warm and happy Tet (Lunar New Year) festival to workers.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, said that the programme contributes to improving the quality of life and happiness index of Vietnamese people.

He called for joint support from businesses and media agencies to further the humane values of the programme within society.

For his part, Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, highly appreciated Nhan Dan Newspaper and Coteccons Company for organising the programme, which he described as a meaningful activity to provide workers, especially those working in the construction sites, a joyful, warm and happy Tet, thereby motivating them to work harder and improve the quality of products.

Under the programme, which runs from December 16, 2024, to January 2025, Nhan Dan Newspaper will also coordinate with Saigon Times to present gifts to children of construction workers.
