The awards ceremony was held under the framework of Passenger Terminal EXPO 2016 which took place in Cologne, Germany from March 15-17.

The ‘World’s Most Improved Airport’ award was based on the results of SKYTRAX’s survey of passengers at 555 international airports around the world.

At the ceremony, CEO of Skytrax Edward Plaisted said that the award is an outstanding achievement proving the great improvement of the Noi Bai airport since its T2 international terminal and A VIP building were put into operation in 2015.

In addition to improved infrastructure, the airport has expanded numerous services for passengers such as a free shuttle buses transporting passengers from T1 and T2 terminals, an upgraded wifi system, free drinks and free internet access points.
