The upgrade is part of the capital’s urban beautification efforts to mark the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam’s National Day on September 2 and other key political events.

Following the directive from the Ha Noi People’s Committee issued in Notice No. 448/TB-VP on July 18, 2025, the expansion of Hung Vuong Street is being implemented urgently. The project aims to complete all works within a tight timeframe, ensuring the area is ready ahead of the national celebrations.

Technical units were mobilised to relocate both underground and above-ground infrastructure systems and maintain continuous construction activities along the 100-metre stretch. The road will be expanded towards the land plot at 61 Tran Phu Street, ensuring both roadway and pavement conform to the approved master plan, with a total width of 36 metres.

Hung Vuong Street plays a pivotal role in the capital’s traffic network, linking central government offices and serving key political, diplomatic, and ceremonial functions. These include the upcoming 80th anniversary of the National Day, the 80th anniversary of the People’s Public Security Force, and others.
