On April 29, Noi Bai International Airport officially entered the peak service period for the April 30–May 1 holiday, with an estimated 113,000 passengers and 662 flights passing through the airport.

On the last working day before the holiday, observations at Terminal T1 showed a sharp increase in the number of passengers arriving to check in for flights, especially during peak hours such as 7–8 a.m., 11 a.m.–12 p.m., 2–3 p.m., 6–7 p.m., and 8–9 p.m.

A representative of Noi Bai International Airport stated that, out of the total estimated 113,000 passengers for the day, domestic passengers account for more than 63,000, while international passengers number nearly 49,000.

In the context of the aviation sector continuing to face challenges related to fuel costs, airlines are still striving to maintain stable flight networks while increasing flights to meet the rising travel demand of the public during the holiday.

To ensure passenger service, Noi Bai International Airport has proactively implemented synchronised peak service measures, especially during the period of Level 1 security reinforcement from April 29 to May 4.

In terms of infrastructure, the airport maintains the operation of up to 98 check-in counters at Terminal T1 and 144 counters at Terminal T2 (including 48 new counters), along with 16 baggage carousels and 122 aircraft parking positions, ready to accommodate increased transport volume.

Security and order are strengthened through close coordination among functional forces, maximising the operation of screening systems, and intensifying patrol and control in key areas.

In addition, the unit coordinates the organisation of reasonable traffic flow, applies automatic toll collection across all entry and exit lanes of the airport area, flexibly regulates traffic to minimise congestion, maintains 24/7 operational supervision, and increases staffing at passenger service points, thereby ensuring smooth operations during the peak holiday period.
