This is an important sporting event of the city on the occasion of the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Hanoi Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - 2025), responding to the campaign “All people take exercises following the example of great Uncle Ho”, and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27).
According to Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Pham Xuan Tai, the launch ceremony of Olympic Run Day for Public Health and the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run for Peace will take place at 7:30 a.m. on March 23 at the Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden and around Hoan Kiem Lake.
Up to now, preparations for organising this event have almost been completed. It is expected that more than 4,000 people will participate. Of which, the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Centre mobilised nearly 1,500 athletes and coaches to run in response.
As many as 30 districts and towns have developed plans and organised the launch ceremony at most grassroots units, communes, wards, towns and schools, attracting over 350,000 participants.
