According to the city’s tourism department, Hanoi welcomed 2.38 million visitors last month, marking year-on-year growth of 9.6%.
This included an estimated 496,450 international tourists and 1.89 million domestic travellers, up 29.6% and 5.3% year on year, respectively.
In the first two months of this year, the capital city greeted 4.59 million visitors, including 1.05 million foreigners and 3.54 million domestic tourists, representing a respective 7.4%, 13% and 5.8% rise compared to the same period of 2024.
Total tourism revenue during this period reached approximately 18.25 trillion VND, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 9%.
In 2025, the city's tourism sector aims to has set an ambitious target of welcoming over 30 million visitors and boosting its total revenue to over 130 trillion VND
The city is committed to enhancing infrastructure, leveraging digital technologies in tourism management and streamlining administrative services through online platforms.
It also plans to intensify international promotion efforts, targeting key markets in Northeast Asia, ASEAN, and the EU, while exploring emerging markets such as India, Eastern Europe, and Halal-friendly destinations.
