The programme will feature the participation of around 300 artisans representing 54 ethnic groups from various provinces, cities and community members from the village, as well as those from Dak Lak, Thanh Hoa, Hoa Binh, and Hue.
On April 18, a conference will be held to review the collaborative efforts between the village and local authorities in promoting the cultural identities of ethnic groups.
On April 19, representatives from 54 ethnic groups will pay respect to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi and join a tour of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace.
The programme will showcase various cultural performances and exhibitions, including the re-enactment of the traditional New Year (Chol Chnam Thmay) Festival of the Khmer ethnic group in Soc Trang Province and the coming-of-age ritual of the Rade ethnic community in Dak Lak Province, and a demonstration of coffee-making and traditional handicrafts from the Central Highlands region.
The programme aims to reaffirm the Party and State's attention and care to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic minority communities.
It is also designed as a platform for ethnic communities to meet, exchange experiences, and strengthen the bonds of unity among ethnic groups.
