The year 2025 carries special significance, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Russia (1950–2025), the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1945–2025), and the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam’s National Day (1945–2025).
Against this meaningful backdrop, from August 26 to September 3, the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism will organise a programme to promote Vietnamese tourism and foster business links in Russia.
The promotion programme is scheduled to take place on August 28 in Moscow and on September 1 in Irkutsk. It aims to showcase Viet Nam’s destinations, unique products and tourism services to Russian travel partners and visitors, while encouraging the flow of tourists between the two countries.
The initiative is also part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s 2025 tourism stimulus programme, contributing to the successful fulfilment of development targets set by the Government and the Prime Minister.
Delegates and businesses attending the programme will be briefed on Viet Nam’s tourism development, favourable mechanisms and policies, as well as being introduced to a wide range of attractive products.
Highlights include beach and island resorts in Nha Trang, Phu Quoc and Mui Ne; cultural and heritage tourism in Ha Noi, Hue, Hoi An and My Son; along with experiences popular among Russian visitors such as golf tourism, wellness, water sports and culinary discovery.
The event is expected to draw hundreds of delegates, including representatives of leading travel corporations, airlines, the media, and central and local tourism authorities of the Russian Federation.

According to the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism, the country’s core strengths lie in the harmonious combination of natural beauty, tropical climate, competitive prices, diverse accommodation infrastructure and the warm hospitality of its people.
Viet Nam is not only an ideal “winter retreat” for Russian visitors seeking safe, high-quality, long-stay holidays, but is also regarded by many as a “second home” – particularly in destinations with long-established Russian communities such as Nha Trang and Mui Ne.
With international travel demand from Russia recovering strongly, Viet Nam is well positioned to affirm its place as a leading destination in Southeast Asia for Russian tourists, while contributing to the sustainable growth of the national tourism industry.
A key highlight of the programme will be the Viet Nam–Russia Business Meeting (B2B), which will provide opportunities for tourism enterprises from both countries to connect directly, establish partnerships, and develop products tailored to Russian visitors’ preferences.
In addition, the programme will offer Russian friends a taste of Viet Nam’s vibrant culture through traditional performances, enhancing public understanding of Vietnamese cultural identity and leaving a lasting impression.
In a year marked by important anniversaries, the Vietnamese tourism promotion in Russia is not only about showcasing products and expanding business ties but also about consolidating the traditional friendship and strengthening cooperation between the peoples of the two nations.
It is also an opportunity to reaffirm Viet Nam as a safe, friendly and culturally rich destination, aspiring to become one of the region’s leading tourism centres while attracting more Russian and international visitors alike.
