The Quynh Lam Pagoda Festival kicked off in Trang An Ward, Dong Trieu City, Quang Ninh Province, gathering the enthusiastic participation of Buddhist monks, nuns, and followers from inside and outside Quang Ninh Province.
The three-day festival includes a water procession, drum performances, and incense offerings to pray for national prosperity and peace.
Vibrant cultural, artistic, and sporting event are also being held during the festival.
On the same day, the Bang Ca Village Festival was held at the Dao Thanh Y Cultural Preservation Area in Ha Long City.

The event aims to introduce the public to traditional rituals, the embroidery art on the traditional costumes of the Dao Thanh Y ethnic group, as well as agricultural and culinary products of Quang Ninh Province.
Festivalgoers can take part in exciting folk games such as bamboo pole dance, cloth ball tossing, crossbow shooting, stick pushing, and tug-of-war.
On the occasion, Ha Long City authorities received certifications honouring the rite of passage ritual of Dao Thanh Y ethnic group and the new rice celebration of Tay ethnic community as national intangible cultural heritages.
Meanwhile, the Xa Tac Temple Festival commenced in Mong Cai City, featuring processions and ancestral worship ceremonies.

Visitors to the event can enjoy art performances and compete in numerous folk games such as tug-of-war, stick pushing, volleyball, and chess competitions.
Xa Tac Temple is located on the banks of Ka Long River, which is the natural border between Vietnam and China in Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province.
The ancient temple was built to worship the Land Genie and those who originally claimed the area, and now protects the local people and blesses them with bumper harvests.
