This is the SCDC’s first important move to implement the contents of a cooperation agreement signed with the US company Synopsys last August on human resources training in chip design.

Specifically, Synopsys’s design software licenses will be provided to universities and institutes through the virtual private network, and training courses on chip design will be organised for lecturers in universities and institutes.

The chip design lab, completed in less than two months since the agreement with Synopsys was inked, reflects SHTP’s commitment to take advantage of the opportunities open to Vietnam to take part in the the semiconductor industry’s global value chain.

It also marks a new stage of the SHTP after 20 years, in which the focus will be put on high-tech industries with breakthrough and high growth potential.

In the future, the SHTP will complete the infrastructure of the SCDC by utilising and mobilising various resources to provide substantive services, making an active contribution to creating a solid foundation for Vietnam’s semiconductor industry.
