The newly built facilities were inaugurated at a ceremony held in the southern province of Bac Lieu on October 21.
According to Director of the Bac Lieu General Hospital, the newly built facilities surgery and oncology departments as well as several other infrastructure components.
The building to house the surgery department is the key component of the project with a total investment of over VND117 billion (US$5.2 million). The five-storey building will serve seven departments with 225 beds and 10 operating rooms.
Despite the tight budget, Bac Lieu province has invested in building the facilities to meet the increasing medical demands of people in the province and surrounding localities.
