The highlights of the festival will include a grand music fest to mark its opening on July 17, an artistic kite show from July 17 to 19, and a performance of 15 sailboats along the Han River on July 20.
Other activities will include a cuisine festival with 50 stalls, street carnivals, and street dances.
The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024 will kick off on the evening of June 8 with the theme of highlighting cultural essence.
The opening night will feature a competition between the reigning champions from France — ArtEventia — and the host team from Da Nang, representing Vietnam.
A new feature this year will be a Jetski & Flyboard artistic sports show, which combines aquatic and aerial dances, extreme sports, and fireworks displays.
According to Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh, numerous international-scale events will be held in the near future with the aim to diversify tourism products and position the city as a leading festival and event destination in Asia.
