The programme was organised by the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Relief Association for Handicapped Children and the Children’s Health Magazine, aiming to mobilise joint efforts to care for and protect children, especially children with disabilities and those in special circumstances.

Delivering a keynote address at the ceremony, Dr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Chairman of the Viet Nam Relief Association for Handicapped Children, affirmed that the association pursues the noble goal of helping children with disabilities live and integrate equally into the community. Over the past time, the association has made great efforts to overcome difficulties, innovate, and successfully fulfill set targets with high quality and effectiveness.

The association has increasingly affirmed its role and prestige as a social organisation in caring for, educating, assisting and rehabilitating children with disabilities. It has effectively mobilised large social resources to care for children with disabilities and those in special circumstances, encouraging the spirit of resilience and collective responsibility across society, implementing the policy of leaving no one behind, and contributing to ensuring social security and building the great national unity bloc.

“The “Nurturing Compassion” Programme carries profound humanitarian meaning and great community value. It is a practical activity responding to the common orientation of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Relief Association for Handicapped Children in particular and of society as a whole,” Dr. Ngo Sach Thuc emphasised.

On this occasion, Dr. Ngo Sach Thuc highly appreciated the Organising Board, especially the Children’s Health Magazine, for building programmes such as: “For Children’s Smiles 2025”, the writing contest “For Children’s Smiles”, and the first “Nurturing Compassion” Programme of 2025, which have practical content and deep humanitarian significance, aiming to mobilise joint efforts to care for and protect children, including children with disabilities.
