After 2030, the city will focus on completing charging infrastructure, parking and stopping points, and organising traffic in line with electric vehicles. The municipal authorities will draft and submit to the Ha Noi People’s Council a resolution providing support for loans and interest rates, preferential registration fees and charges, and incentives for investment in charging stations. The city will also propose extending the policy of a 100% exemption of registration fees for electric cars.
Ha Noi currently has 14,300 taxis in operation, of which nearly 8,800 are electric. The total number of taxis expected to be converted by 2030 is approximately 28,000 vehicles.
Previously, the city also set a target of converting 100% of buses to electric or green-energy vehicles by 2030, in conjunction with the implementation of a resolution on low-emission zones.
