Hanoi celebrates International Children's Day

Nhan Dan Online – A variety of exciting activities are scheduled for the 2013 International Children's Festival in Hanoi on June 1-2 as an entertaining gift for children on International Children's Day (June 1).

Three giant silicone models of dinosaurs are on display for the first time at the Indochina Plaza Trade Center, 241 Xuan Thuy Street, Cau Giay district, from June 1 to 2. Children will be amazed as the lifelike dinosaurs make noises and wag their tails in a realistic ancient landscape.

Kids can also enjoy art performances as well as an international online exchange with children in Norway, and learn about the cultures of other countries through photographs, information packs, and a variety of games.

The Pinwheel Field

On the same days, colourful lanterns and a field of cheerful pinwheels made by children from the central city of Hoi An will be on display at the Quan Ngua Sports Complex in 30 Van Cao Street, Hanoi.

Children will also have a chance to participate in classes to experience different jobs or learn how to make handicrafts and traditional toys.

A workshop on education and childcare will also be held during the festival.

The two-day event aims to offer interesting activities and a fun place for local and international children play and interact with each other.
