Director of the hospital Lee San Kan said dozens of his best doctors aided by modern devices came to work for the healthcare programme on August 7, which was supported by the Vedan Vietnam Company (Vedan).
This is the third time the charitable programme has been organised by the Taiwanese-invested Vedan company, costing a total of nearly VND2 billion (US$94,000).
Apart from offering their expertise, Taiwanese medical workers helped to train their local colleagues.
The Vedan Vietnam Company has so far donated over VND4 billion (US$188,000) for building houses for disadvantaged locals, supporting those with health problems from exposure to Agent Orange/dioxin and presenting scholarships to disadvantaged pupils.
Last month, a similar programme held in the province with the participation of Taiwanese doctors from the Chang Geng Hospital and local physicians benefited more than 1,000 residents.
