The award ceremony was held in Hanoi on January 16 in the presence of Secretary of the CPVCC and Chief of the CPVCC’s Office, Nguyen Van Nen and member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Bosengkham Vongdara.
At the event, the Lao Minister presented Labour Orders, Labour Medals and a certificate of merit to nine individuals and four collectives of the CPVCC’s Office.
Addressing the ceremony, CPVCC Secretary Nguyen Van Nen expressed this sincere thanks for the Lao Party and State for recognition of the efforts made by staff of the CPVCC’s Office.
He said that, during the 2005-2013 period, the CPVCC’s Office hosted delegation exchanges between the two countries and coordinated with its Lao partner in conducting research and organising training courses on archives, libraries, and applications of information technology.
He stressed that the cooperation outcomes between the two sides have vividly illustrated the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples.
He pledged that the CPVCC’s Office will do its utmost and closely coordinate with its Lao partners, including the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, in nurturing the Vietnam – Lao special relations.
