The finale saw the participation of 41 outstanding contestants representing millions of female students nationwide.

After the two performances of ao dai (Vietnamese traditional costume) and evening gowns, the organising committee selected the five best performers for the decisive Q&A round.

With a clever answer featuring her view on the anti-fan phenomenon on social networks, Tuong Vy won the highest mark from the judges, thus beating the other fours to lift the crown.

The first and second runners-up were Nguyen Tran Van Dinh from Foreign Trade University - Ho Chi Minh City and Le Thi Phuong Doan from Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, respectively.

In addition to the top prizes, the organisers also presented other titles, including “Miss Talent”, “Miss Volunteer for the Community” and “Most Favoured Contestant”.

Themed “The Beauty of Wisdom,” Vietnam Miss University 2020 aimed to honour the beauty of wisdom, talent and dynamism of Vietnamese students.

The pageant offered a total of VND500 million in prize money (US$21,704), including VND200 million for the winner, VND100 million for the first runner-up and VND50 million for the second runner-up.
