The events are being held by the Vietnam Association of Informatics, the Vietnam Students Association and the Ministry of Education and Training, in co-ordination with Duy Tan University in Da Nang City.

The three-day contests are a chance to select outstanding students for the ACM-ICPC World Finals, to be held in Ekaterinburg, Russia in 2014.
