Accordingly, from May 5 to 8, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa Province will chair and coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association to organise many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023) in Thanh Hoa Province.
The coastal tourist city of Sam Son will open booths displaying typical products of strength of Thanh Hoa Province and Japanese organisations and businesses at the Thanh Hoa-Japan Connection Conference 2023.

Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi said that Thanh Hoa-Japan friendship cooperation has created more impetus to promote socio-economic development for the locality.
Thanh Hoa Province has established a Japanese support department, consolidating the organisation and operation of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association in Thanh Hoa Province in a practical and effective manner.
Within the framework of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, Japanese politicians and partners will conduct field surveys in Nghi Son Economic Zone and industrial zones.
They will also visit special national monuments and heritage sites in Thanh Hoa, and signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation, especially in research and investment decisions in Thanh Hoa Province.
