Recognising and appreciating the initiative from the three provinces in tourism linkages, General Director of the VNAT Nguyen Trung Khanh said the tourism sector is still facing many difficulties, requiring high concentration and synchronous implementation of solutions from the localities, the business community and the entire sector.

He asked the three provinces to regularly organise joint working groups to grasp the situation of products and customers, creating a destination cluster with unique tourism products, as well as to focus on connecting with regions throughout the country to diversify customer sources.

Furthermore, the three provinces should study, evaluate and restructure the market while paying attention to building diversified and highly competitive product chains towards attracting high-class tourists with high spending and long stay, he added.

The VNAT General Director Nguyen Trung Khanh also noted that the localities should deploy practical and effective solutions to support tourism businesses in re-engaging experienced human resources and attracting high-quality staff to meet the demands of tourists.

The three provinces must also closely coordinate to conduct regular inspection and supervision of tourism activities, especially in the peak season of domestic tourism.
