These young spectators spread vibrant, youthful energy, inspiring the performers to deliver explosive performances on stage.
The event was organised by Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper in collaboration with the Ha Noi Municipal People’s Committee, and SunBright.
According to the programme’s chief director Dang Le Minh Tri, the production team wanted to create a musical evening where every generation could feel the beat.
Right from the first moments, when the National Anthem rang out, the singing of 50,000 people from all corners of My Dinh Stadium was amplified through microphones placed across various fan zones, making everyone present feel immersed in emotion and pride.
A “fanchant” is when fans cheer for artists by shouting or singing key words or phrases from songs.
Yet on the evening of August 10 at My Dinh Stadium, the ‘Homeland in Our Hearts’ concert had no specific idol, but fanchants echoed through every song—from the National Anthem to revolutionary songs such as ‘Me Yeu Con’ (Motherhood), ‘Bac Ho Nguoi Cho Em Tat Ca’ (Uncle Ho Who Gives Us Everything), and ‘Viet Tiep Cau Chuyen Hoa Binh’ (Continue to Write the Story of Peace).

Many of these songs, though composed long ago and closely associated with the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s generations, were passionately sung by young audiences from Gen Y, Gen X, and Gen Z. Some older spectators even asked each other in surprise, “Do the youngsters really know all these songs?”
Moreover, waves of light from phone flashes and red-and-yellow star lightsticks swept through the stands during the performances.
Close camera shots showed young people enthusiastically dancing and enjoying a great time in every fan zone—from the standing to the seated zones and all corners of the stadium. This youthful energy was previously seen mostly at youth music events featuring idol performers or international concerts.
To achieve this, director Dang Le Minh Tri shared that the creative team placed young people at the heart of the concert, ensuring they could see themselves reflected in the event.
“We can proudly say this programme is for all generations,” he said.

Although many songs are decades old, they were rejuvenated with fresh, energetic arrangements. Performed by artists from multiple generations, including young talents, the programme conveyed its message through a youthful perspective.
As a result, ‘Homeland in Our Hearts’ genuinely touched the emotions and hearts of not only the 50,000 audience members at My Dinh Stadium, but also countless young viewers watching live across various platforms and channels.
“Ten points for the stage lighting. Ten points for the music. A hundred points for the concert,” one Gen Z attendee said after watching the event. This sentiment was widely shared among many young attendees.
A group of university students reported, “The sound and lighting were incredible. We have never attended a concert comprised entirely of revolutionary and homeland songs like this. So much joy and cheer in such an atmosphere.”
‘Homeland in Our Hearts’ is a national-scale musical event dedicated to all social classes, generations, and age groups. It was a night of shared emotions connecting everyone, bridging generations in a proud, vibrant atmosphere.
To achieve the best technical effects, especially for sound, the team meticulously planned speaker deployment to optimise performance.
“We had to design a specialised sound system—not just deciding what kind of speakers to use, but where to place them and how many,” director Minh Tri explained.
The role of the participating artists cannot be overlooked. When performers Toc Tien, Ha Le, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Thanh Duy, and the band OPlus appeared on the stage, the audience erupted with cheers.
The presence of these favourite young voices created fresh nuances for the programme—not only through multi-generational harmonies and new arrangements, but also through their heightened expressiveness amid the participation of 50,000 spectators.
It can be seen that ‘Homeland in Our Hearts’ is a national-scale musical event dedicated to all social classes, generations, and age groups. It was a night of shared emotions connecting everyone, bridging generations in a proud, vibrant atmosphere.
Even after the concert ended, audience and artists alike remained deeply moved, eagerly awaiting similar cultural programmes where both youth and older generations will once again find themselves reflected and inspired.
